Introducing ArrangeMe: Legally Create and Sell Arrangements for over 1000 Copyrighted Songs

Start creating the arrangements you’ve been dreaming of. Arrange over 1000 hot copyrighted songs.

Sheet Music Plus is excited to announce ArrangeMe, a groundbreaking program that allows arrangers to create and sell arrangements of copyrighted music exclusively on Sheet Music Plus through the digital self-publishing platform SMP Press. Sheet Music Plus worked with music publisher Hal Leonard to provide SMP Press users with over 1000 songs, from Broadway showstoppers to award-winning hits. It’s free and easy to participate. Sheet Music Plus, together with Hal Leonard, handles payments to copyright holders so arrangers have more time to create.

ArrangeMe is a game changer for music makers, as well as arrangers. Traditionally, only the most popular instrumentations of a song are arranged – often, piano/vocal/guitar. ArrangeMe broadens the scope of music available to play, giving uncommon instruments and small groups the ability to play popular songs. The ArrangeMe pilot program saw the creation and sales of many unique arrangements, including saxophone quartet and clarinet choir, to name a few examples. Many teachers and arrangers already create or would like to create these arrangements, and now they can share them with the world!

To celebrate the launch of ArrangeMe, Sheet Music Plus is holding an Arranging Contest from now through May 31, 2016. Arrangers may submit their arrangements of preapproved copyrighted songs in four different categories:

  • Piano Solo, Easy/Beginning Level
  • Piano Solo, Intermediate/Advanced Level
  • Instrumental Solo, with or without accompaniment
  • Chamber Ensemble, duets, trios, quartets or quintets for any instrumentation.

Top selling arrangements in each of the four categories will win $300, with the chance to win up to $1200!

ArrangeMe is part of SMP Press, Sheet Music Plus’ digital self-publishing program. If you are interested in participating in ArrangeMe, you will have to sign up through SMP Press, which also allows you to publish your original compositions and public domain arrangements directly to Sheet Music Plus for free. It’s never been easier or more profitable to show your music to the world.
